Wolf Music Q&A
We’re just gearing up for our next release, WOLFEP018, that will feature music from Session Victim, Medlar, Squarehead & Ishmael. The release will hit the stores early May.
We have a fair bit of music coming out this year. WOLFEP019 features 3 tracks from Dutch wonder kid Frits Wentink, WOLFEP020 is a collaboration between KRL & Greymatter and will mark a new direction for the label in terms of our artwork. WOLFEP021 will see another full EP from James Welsh, which we are very excited about. Alongside the 12” singles we will be releasing a full album from Medlar, and a double CD comp.
We might be biased but you should definitely check out Frits Wentink, he’s only 23 years old and definitely has a bright future ahead of him. You can check one of his live sets here;
I can never narrow it down. As I type this Iman ‘Who Was I trying To Fool’ has just come on, that’s definitely up there. A record I have been playing out a lot recently and going down well is Lars Vegas (one half of Detroit Swindle) ‘The Game’. Plus those lovely new edits by Millionhands haven’t strayed far from my turntable!
Last few BLK002 are here:
I recently watched Rio Breaks, a fantastic story of the surfing scene at one of Rio de Janeiro's poorer beaches that follows to young friends navigating their way through life.
La Bodega Negra restaurant in Soho is a great spot to get Mexican street food and tequila cocktails. The front of the restaurant is done out like a seedy sex joint so it’s quite easy to miss it!
The whole WOLF team love a game of Table Tennis so any spare time when we are on the road is spent on the lookout for a table.
Pretty boring but basically a music themed t-shirt, jeans and a pair of Vans is what im normally sporting. Not sure what you would call that…music casual maybe?
We call Matt the ‘Gentleman of house’ as it’s rare to see him in anything but a smart shirt, normally with a kravat. He doesn’t ‘do’ t-shirts.
Rave capes... coming soon to MH
I do have a weak spot for www.worldsbestever.com
I live in Chiswick, West London. If anyone finds themselves over this way I would recommend checking out Outsider Tart which is an authentic American bakery and café. Go with an empty stomach! The pulled pork sandwich is a highlight. Notting Hill is just up the road and there are some great digging spots, including the Soul & Dance Exchange & Honest Jons. Two of my favourite record shops right there.
Get. Shit. Done.
